Keith Proctor - Leave Me Bee
I have recently started to paint another three of Jacks friends, all
of whom are girls, two are called Ruby and the other is Sadie.
Sadie is the younger sister of Lily and Grace who were the two
girls featured in the Jack the Lad collection from Spring 2010.
‘Leave Me Bee’ is the first painting I have done showing two
girls; I thought it would be nice to paint something like ‘Bzzz’
which was the first of my paintings to include a bumble bee.
I was initially going to paint my son Jack with a little girl but
had a change of direction and thought it was a lovely idea to
show the contrast between two girls of the same age with one
being petrified of the bee and the other who is quite at ease and
interested in it.
